The Miyoo Mini Plus is not the most powerful handheld on the market, but that is also not why this device is so popular. The strength of the MM+ lies precisely in how accessible, compact and fine it is in everyday use. It is small enough to be easy to carry around, but big enough to be more comfortable than the original Miyoo Mini. The review by RetroReady doesn't call it one of the smallest and best emulation handhelds in its class for nothing.

The Miyoo Mini Plus offers excellent value for money. The D-pad is nice and smooth, as are the other buttons. Onion OS, in particular, stands out for its ease of use.
The only downside I’ve encountered so far is that GBA games don’t always run very smoothly. Fortunately, there’s a whole Onion OS community offering tips on how to sort out these kinds of issues.

The device works perfectly, and the support from RetroGear was excellent too. But I find I still need to get used to holding the Miyoo Mini Plus. My hands aren’t particularly large, but you end up looking for a comfortable way to hold it, and that’s hard to find. If I’d known this, I might have gone for the horizontal version after all.

A brilliant device for emulating 8-, 16- and 32-bit games; installing additional emulators is easy via Wi-Fi (which I don’t even need to set up) and it also comes with a USB stick so you can use your SD card. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with an adapter, just a short USB cable; luckily, it has the same connector as my tablet, which works perfectly well for this too. I’m really pleased with it.
